Fe Caballero is a dedicated nurse who currently serves as the Nurse Manager for Ambulatory Neurology, following her previous role as Nursing Operations Supervisor. She previously managed the Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Epilepsy Units. With 28 years of experience in bedside nursing, her extensive background includes specialties such as ICU, Emergency, SICU-PACU, Med-Surg, Epilepsy, Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Pulmonary (PCU) units.
Beyond her clinical expertise, Fe was recently honored to become the Founding President of the Philippine Nurses Association of North Carolina Triad Subchapter. This organization was established to provide a formal platform for Filipino nurses in the Triad area, focusing on personal and professional development while promoting cultural integration for Filipino-American nurses and their families. The association’s mission is to empower Filipino and Filipino-American nurses, fostering both their professional growth and excellence in nursing practice.
A passionate advocate for community and healthcare initiatives, Fe is deeply committed to advancing holistic care and supporting the well-being of others. She actively works to stay informed on legislative and public policies affecting healthcare, working to influence these areas positively, advocating for nurses' economic welfare, and enhancing public health and safety.
Fe's commitment to service extends beyond her professional role. From 2007 to 2013, she volunteered at Winston-Salem First Church's Kids Zone, ensuring the safety and well-being of children while parents attended services. Since then, she has been an active volunteer with Love Out Love WS, a non-profit Christian organization that unites churches to serve the community. Fe served as the Women’s Missionary Unit Secretary for Triad Journey Church for two years and is currently the Chairman of the Education and Development Committee for the TJC Baptist Nursing Foundation (BNF), which provides free medical, dental care, and health education to underserved community members. Additionally, Fe recently became the founding president of the PNA-North Carolina Triad Sub-Chapter, which supports personal and professional growth for nurses, promotes excellence in nursing, and aids the acculturation of Filipino-American nurses and their families.
In addition, Fe was elected as the President of the North Carolina Chapter of the National Federation of Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA), an organization dedicated to promoting the welfare of Filipinos and Filipino Americans across the U.S.
